Coverage of 2016 US Presidential Election

As a Journalism teacher of Universidad del Desarrollo (Santiago, Chile), I led a group of 10 students on a Multimedia Project to cover the US Presidential Election held in November 2016.

We developed a website and the background research content previous to the trip to Washington DC. Once arrived, the students reported on stories about the elections during ten days, by talking with Representatives, members of both Republican and Democrat parties, and with people who voted and didn’t vote in the elections.

On the election night we did a live coverage by streaming for the US Embassy result party that was being held simultaneously in Chile. The students also used Facebook live to stream live election results, becoming a unique learning experience for the students.

The website is online here.
